About our Executive Director
Theological Education & Kingdom Leadership: Anthoney is currently a Second-Year Student at Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry (BSSM) in Redding, California, where he is growing in spiritual authority and prophetic leadership. In 2025, he was awarded the KVL Legacy Award—named after Kris Vallotton—for emerging leaders who demonstrate humility, impact, and legacy in ministry.
Faith-Filled Leadership in Recovery: After experiencing his own journey of escaping trauma, abuse, neglect and identity confusion, Anthoney Farmer has dedicated his life to helping men find their true identity in Christ. As Executive Director of Prodigal Road Ministries, he leads with boldness, compassion, and deep conviction shaped by his own testimony of transformation.
National Influence & Recognition: Anthoney served as Chapter Lead for Young People in Recovery for four years, where his chapter received National Chapter of the Year two years in a row. He also served as a National Program Coordinator, helping build recovery ecosystems across the country.
Federal Appointment & Curriculum Development: Under the Obama administration, Anthoney was one of only 16 individuals appointed by SAMHSA to develop a peer recovery support curriculum for the federal prison system—a role that reflects his passion for restorative justice and reentry reform.
Certified Recovery House Manager: Anthoney is a certified Recovery House Administrator through the RecoveryPeople House Administrator Certification Program. He was part of their inaugural cohort and assisted in the development and implementation of this certification program under RecoveryPeople.
Legislative Advocacy: He played a key role in supporting House Bill 1486 in Texas, which made peer support services eligible for Medicaid reimbursement. Anthoney has testified before the Texas Legislature’s Select Committee on Mental Health, advocating for recovery-informed care and housing.
Clinical & Spiritual Expertise: A licensed Registered Nurse, Anthoney has served in critical care, orthopedics, and addiction medicine, with a strong understanding of trauma-informed care. He has developed peer programs in treatment centers, hospitals, and probation departments.
